Set a window.
Free from, free until, where you're starting and how far you'll go. It takes seconds.
FOR YOUR WORK
Set when you're free and how far you'll go. Fill My Day sends you jobs nearby that fit, so a cancellation isn't a lost afternoon.
IN SHORT
Fill My Day is an app for plumbers with unexpected free time. You set an availability window, say how far you'll travel, and get sent local jobs that fit. You reply with a price, the customer picks, and you agree the details in the app. Your window ends on its own when your free time does. It launches in Bristol and is free to join at launch.
AT A GLANCE
Four things that make Fill My Day different from a directory listing.
Free from, free until, where you're starting and how far you'll go. It takes seconds.
Only work inside your time, your distance and your trade reaches you.
Send your price. Nothing is booked until the customer accepts it.
No lead fees, no subscription and no commission at launch.
Most plumbers aren't short of work. They're short of work at the right time and in the right place. A bathroom goes in quicker than planned. A customer cancels the night before. The wrong fittings turn up, or nobody's in to open the door. Suddenly there's an afternoon with nothing in it.
That time is hard to sell. Ringing round for something nearby takes longer than the gap itself, and the jobs people post elsewhere are usually for next week, across town, or already taken. So the afternoon goes, and it doesn't come back.
Fill My Day is built for exactly that moment: a plumber who is free now, and a small job close by that someone needs doing.
Set a window around the day you already have: free from, free until, where you're starting and how far you'll go.
Only jobs inside your time, your distance and the kind of work you do reach your phone.
Reply with your price. If the customer accepts, agree the details in the app and fill the day.
EXAMPLE
It's Tuesday and a bathroom in Bedminster is finished by twenty to one. You set a window: free until 5pm, starting in Bedminster, eight miles. A customer in Southville has posted a dripping kitchen tap with two photos, any time this afternoon. It reaches you because it fits your time, your distance and the work you've said you do. You reply with a price and say you can be there by two. They accept, and the afternoon is paid.
Most platforms are directories. A customer searches, gets a list of names and rings round, whether or not you're free. Fill My Day works the other way round.
| DIRECTORY LISTING | FILL MY DAY | |
|---|---|---|
| How customers reach you | They search a list of everyone in the area | Their job is sent to plumbers free at that time and close by |
| When you're contacted | Any time, busy or not | Only while your window is open |
| Keeping it up to date | Your profile says you're available until you change it | Every window ends on its own |
| Cost at launch | Some charge per lead or a monthly fee | Free at launch |

When you reply to a job, the customer sees your price next to your profile. That shows your trade and the work you do, photos of past jobs, your reviews, how many jobs you've completed on Fill My Day, and that your documents have been checked.
Clear photos of finished work and an accurate list of what you do make the biggest difference. Customers choose the plumber who looks right for their job, not just the cheapest.
It isn't meant to replace your main work. It's for the gaps around it.
You sign up, upload your qualifications and proof of public liability insurance, and a person checks them before you can reply to jobs. Anyone offering gas work must be Gas Safe registered. Being on Fill My Day is meant to mean something to customers. Read how we check plumbers.
We're launching in Bristol, with plumbers only, so jobs and plumbers are close enough together for it to work well from day one. If you work in and around Bristol, you'll be among the first on it. Read about plumbing work in Bristol, or the Bristol launch.
GOOD TO KNOW
No. You only price the jobs you want. Nothing is booked without you, and there's no penalty for ignoring or declining a job.
Not at launch. There are no lead fees, subscriptions or commission at launch, and customers pay you directly.
It's built for the days that don't go to plan. When a job finishes early or cancels, you set a window. The rest of the time you don't need to do anything.
Only the kinds of work you say you do. Gas work only goes to Gas Safe registered engineers.
Bristol first. You set how far you'll travel from where you start, so the jobs you see depend on where you are.
The app is in development. We'll open sign-up for Bristol plumbers ahead of launch.
FIRST STOP / BRISTOL
The app is in development and isn't taking bookings yet. Plumbers first, other trades to follow.
